Ten on Tuesday

#14 roots and rings

1. Favorite book(s) when you were a child and why?
I'm going to say goosebumps! I've always liked a good spooky story to keep me going. They were always interesting, scary and sometimes funny.

2. First “grown-up” book you remember reading (i.e. written for adolescents or with adult themes, such as The Outsiders or Catcher in the Rye).

I couldn't really think of one at first, but when I went back to thinking, it was in junior high, probably grade 7 or 8, and we had to read The Outsiders for English. (Awesome book when you're a kid still figuring life, friends and school out.)

3. Favorite movie that came from a book (even if you didn’t read the book and just love the movie).
Recently, actually I saw the movie 'My Sister's Keeper', and when I went to my sisters house and was talking about it, she told me that she had the book there. So I ended up borrowing it and loved it even more.

4. Movie that you loved so much that you WISHED there was a book out so that you could find out more about the movie.

The Hangover, just because it's a really funny movie, with awesome characters, and it would be cool to see more into each of them...

5. Worst book you’ve ever read?
Hmm, Can't really think of one.

6. Book that everyone raves about that you either a) haven’t read and feel slightly dumb for not having read it or b) have tried to read and hated and so feel slightly dumb that everyone is getting something you don’t.
I'm going to say the Twilight series. Everyone is obsessed with it, and when I was reading them, I couldn't get into it. Not sure if it's because the movie's ruined it for me, or just maybe I'm not into vampires.

7. If you were forced to choose only 3 books that you could read for the rest of your life, which ones would they be? (Or if you were stranded on a desert island, which 3 books would you want there with you?).

1.All American Girl 2.Go Ask Alice (old, but awesome) 3.Any Stephen King Novel

8. Name one book that if you could recommend that everyone you know read, what is it?

My Sisters Keeper

9. What is your “guilty pleasure” reading?
Oh Man, I have no clue!!

10. What book (excepting the Bible or other major document of your religion/faith) has changed your outlook on life the most?
Chicken Soup for the Soul. Any that I've read. Loved them all, and they're helpful with many things in life.
